Home Meets… Piers from Love Brownies – Local Wirral Business Owner Q & A

Since opening our brand new estate agency in July last year we have met a number of local independent business owners and have really enjoyed getting to know a little bit about them and their businesses. We thought it would be great fun to share their answers and stories from a series of questions during a recent meeting. In this latest instalment we caught up with Piers Henderson, owner of one of our favourite coffee shops in town… Love Brownies!

When did you open Love Brownies?

We Opened Love Brownies back in December 2018. Looking back time seems to have gone very quickly!!

What was the inspiration behind the business and is their a particular place you have been to which influenced you?

Huge passion for good quality Coffee! Coffee shops and bakeries in London had always inspiered me, many are inspired by the phrase “Simplicity is Key”. I have tried to implement this within Love Brownie’s. 

What did you do before you started Love Brownies?

Before Starting Love Brownies I worked as a graphic designer. 

Describe your business in one line?

One happy place

Who are your customers?

We have a huge customer base. When opening/setting up I worked so hard to make sure we would appeal to all ages. Its nice to look around when the shops full to see such a good selection of customers.

Is there anything new or exciting that you are planning?

We are! Unfortuanatly nothing I can share just yet but watch this space…!

What challenges does Love Brownies face?

We are looking at a huge cost increase of raw materials. This obviously will increase the pressure on us as a business. Unfortunately there’s not much we can do about this. The important thing for us to do is to carry on and provide the best experience for our customers.
